There are just three weeks until this year’s instalment of ScotSoft, the long-running conference produced by Scotland’s digital tech membership and cluster organisation, ScotlandIS, officially begins.

Taking place at Edinburgh’s International Conference and Exhibition Centre (EICC) on Thursday 26th September, ScotSoft 2024 offers delegates the exciting opportunity to explore the latest technology industry trends, hear key insights from sector experts, and collaborate and network with like-minded attendees.

This year boasts a stellar lineup of speakers from both in and outwith Scotland, working for well-known, tech-focused companies such as Morgan Stanley, PwC, Resillion, and many more. Futurist Joe Little, an honorary professor at the University of Stirling, and Tom Johnson, the ethical hacker and social engineer, are set to bookend the day’s engaging sessions as ScotSoft 2024’s keynote speakers.

Delving into an array of salient topics, the day’s speakers will discuss and inform on prominent issues such as how to understand and prepare for ransomware amid an ever-changing cybersecurity landscape, ways in which the power of AI and data can be unlocked, and what the future of software development looks like, among countless other informative topics and sessions.

ScotSoft 2024 will also host the in-person Young Software Engineer of the Year (YSE) Awards Dinner, which showcases the innovative tech talent emerging from Scotland’s universities. Nominees are recent graduates of computer science and related undergraduate courses, and the winners are chosen by a select panel of experts who boast over 100 years of industry experience combined.
