Decarbonisation and clean energy solutions group, D2Zero, has acquired flow measurement consultancy Kelton.
Aberdeen-based Kelton’s proprietary technology and software enabled real-time monitoring and data gathering to provide more informed asset performance and compliance analysis, which enabled solutions to improve efficiency, lower cost, and reduce carbon intensity.
D2Zero hopes their acquisition of Kelton will improve their digital capabilities, and further accelerate its momentum in the energy transition industry.
Kelton’s technical capabilities can help align D2Zero’s strategy to decarbonise traditional energy sources while invigorating the transition to renewable energy.
With 12 offices around the world, Kelton brings a 25 strong team of consultants to D2Zero.
“We are proud to announce that Kelton is now part of D2Zero,” managing director of Kelton, Iain Pirie, said. “Over the past 33 years, our team has developed differentiated technology and expertise, and we are excited at the possibilities for the business as part of a Group with such a clear focus on accelerating the energy transition.”
Aberdeen-based D2Zero balances its focus on servicing the oil and gas sector while pushing for decarbonisation and empowering the transition to renewable energy sources.

Bob Drummond, chief executive officer of D2Zero said: “We are delighted to welcome Kelton to D2Zero. The Kelton team have been helping some of the world’s most sophisticated energy businesses better understand their operations for decades with their precision measurement technology and data analytics.
“Kelton further strengthens our ability to understand and solve the complex decarbonisation challenges that our customers are facing and we look forward to helping the business thrive as part of D2Zero.”
