Glasgow-based Kube Networks, or KubeNet, has announced the acquisition of ISN Solutions Group, a managed IT service provider operating in Aberdeen.
KubeNet said the deal will allow the tech solutions provider to enhance its service capabilities and extend the firm’s footprint across Scotland.
ISN brings over twenty years of experience in supporting corporate clients across the UK, particularly within the oil and gas industry, with KubeNet hoping to build on the company’s strong reputation in the north-east.
KubeNet said that the acquisition of ISN aligns with the business’s long-held standards for service, with the wider team planning to deliver more comprehensive and scalable IT and technology services to a growing client base in key markets.
“The acquisition of ISN is a natural fit for KubeNet, bringing together two businesses with a shared customer focus,” said Fraser Ferguson, director at KubeNet.
“Bringing ISN into the group boosts our capabilities and helps us support more businesses with the kind of reliable, high-quality service we’re known for.”
KubeNet said the deal will directly support its growth strategy and enhance its ability to deliver across core service areas, including round-the-clock managed IT support, scalable connectivity via its Layer 2 Network and IoT SIM solutions, as well as cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity offerings.
ISN will continue operating under its existing name during an initial transition period to ensure continuity for clients, suppliers, and employees. Over time, the business will be fully integrated into the KubeNet brand, with a phased approach designed to minimise disruption and maintain service levels.
“KubeNet’s culture and values reflects our own and our combined ambition is to expand our position in the market and become the ‘go to’ cloud and managed service provider in the north-east of Scotland and beyond,” said Scott Davidson, managing director at ISN.

KubeNet’s acquisition of ISN follows the company’s recent £2.25 million investment from Scottish private equity firm Maven Capital Partners.
The funding, provided via Maven Investor Partners, was made in support of KubeNet’s growth plans, which include organic expansion and a targeted buy-and-build strategy designed for an immediate increase in scale.
That investment followed a 27% increase in revenues over the past two years, reportedly driven by an expanding customer base and increased upselling opportunities, as well as a member of the KubeNet team, Cieran Smith, winning the Digital Tech Rising Star award at this year’s ScotlandIS Digital Tech Awards.
