Brightsolid has appointed Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Charlie Gough as Head of Cloud Solutions to support the company’s continued development of hybrid cloud and cybersecurity services.

Gough brings more than 20 years of experience across enterprise IT, security consulting and cloud architecture. In his new role he will lead the development of Brightsolid’s cloud and managed detection and response (MDR) services, with a focus on deepening integration with Microsoft solutions and further expanding the company’s capabilities in cloud security.

Established over 25 years as part of DC Thomson, Brightsolid is a managed hybrid cloud and cybersecurity services provider, with customers including Aberdeenshire Council, Burness Paull, Dumfries and Galloway Council, Dundee City Council, Shell, University of Dundee, and West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
