Partnerships
Exabeam and Recorded Future

Exabeam, a global leader in intelligence and automation that powers security operations, and Recorded Future, the world’s leader in intelligence, today announced an expansion of their strategic technology partnership. The partnership integrates the Exabeam New-Scale Security Operations Platform with Recorded Future Intelligence Platform to deliver intelligence-led operations for faster, more accurate threat detection, investigation, and response (TDIR).
By integrating Recorded Future’s comprehensive, real-time threat intelligence directly into the Exabeam New-Scale Platform, customers can now enrich every security event with external intelligence, turning raw data into actionable insight and enabling automated responses that significantly reduce investigation time.
The partnership enhances key Exabeam solutions, including New-Scale SIEM, New-Scale Analytics, and Exabeam Nova, which guide teams on what data to ingest and how to optimise detection strategies.
Borders Distillery and Catalyst ERP

The Borders Distillery has introduced the revolutionary, cloud based technology, Bottle ERP, in a move that will allow it to achieve its growth ambitions ahead of the release of its first single malt Scotch whisky.
Partnering with premier consulting firm Catalyst ERP, the distillery has implemented Bottle ERP, a comprehensive spirit management solution designed to streamline business and operational efficiencies.
Powered by NetSuite’s world-leading cloud platform, Bottle ERP equips the team to track the journey from field to glass with greater clarity and control, while strengthening quality assurance, customer engagement and cask management. The platform also includes the fully integrated warehouse management solution, WMS Go.
Scottish National Investment Bank, National Wealth Fund, & Great British Energy
The Scottish National Investment Bank has joined the UK’s National Wealth Fund and Great British Energy in making a significant investment towards a major floating offshore wind project, supporting the country’s clean energy ambitions and bolstering energy security.
Each investor has secured an initial stake in the Pentland Floating Offshore Wind Farm, located off the coast of Dounreay, with the option to invest up to £50 million as the project progresses.
“The offshore wind potential in Scotland is considerable both as a source of energy and, particularly with floating, to export our supply chain,” said Mark Munro, chief investment officer for the SNIB.

NHS, Multiverse, & Palantir

The NHS has partnered with Multiverse, an edtech firm, and tech giant Palantir to upskill its staff in AI and data.
The two tech firms will help health staff in their adoption and use of the NHS Federated Data Platform, which is supplied by Palantir.
The data platform connects data is a centralised platform that takes information from separate systems, allowing staff faster access to patient data. Palantir claims that the platform can optimise patient care across the 77 NHS Trusts that are using the service.
Multiverse has signed onto the partnership to support the digital skills training of NHS staff.
The apprenticeship company will work with Palantir to outfit a range of apprenticeship programmes centred on the NHS data platform, with the earliest cohorts set for this coming February.

The Financial Conduct Authority and Singapore
The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority is partnering with the financial authority of Singapore to support safe and responsible AI innovation across finance.
This partnership aims to enable innovative firms in the UK and Singapore to scale and operate across markets more effectively.
For the first time, the FCA will also establish a presence in Singapore with the appointment of an FCA Financial Services Attaché based at the British High Commission, forming part of a wider plan to establish a presence in other priority markets next year.
A key element of the partnership will be the joint testing of AI solutions, exchange of regulatory insights, and collaborative events to spotlight best-in-class approaches.

Microsoft and Nvidia

Microsoft is teaming up with NVIDIA and WeTransact to support UK startups in their agentic AI ambitions.
The Agentic Launchpad is designed to accelerate the UK’s and Ireland’s AI economy by helping pioneering software companies build intelligent, next-generation AI platforms.
The programme offers startups and scale-ups the opportunity to work with the latest technologies, access to expert guidance, and the potential for global scaling opportunities.
The Launchpad offers participating firms the chance to work directly with Microsoft and Nvidia experts. Firms can receive credits through Microsoft programmes to support their development journey.

Quorum Cyber

Edinburgh-headquartered cybersecurity company Quorum Cyber has made a series of appointments to its senior leadership team to meet its strategic goals.
John Bruce has joined the Microsoft-only company as chief information security officer (CISO), Mike LaPeters as chief revenue officer (CRO), Stacey Sweeney as chief marketing officer (CMO), and Melissa Webb as vice president – Microsoft Partnership.

Expansions
SOLASTA® Bio

SOLASTA® Bio, specialising in the next generation of green insecticides, has relocated to purpose-built facilities at the West of Scotland Science Park, marking a major milestone in the company’s growth journey since 2021.
The move from the University of Glasgow campus to the Helix Building at Kelvin Campus provides SOLASTA® Bio with its first dedicated, standalone facility, occupying over 4,000 square feet of custom-fitted laboratory and office space. The new premises house specialised facilities for R&D, including a dedicated insectary, plant and tissue culture rooms, as well as expanded office space and collaborative working areas for the company’s growing 26-person team.
The relocation reflects SOLASTA® Bio’s rapid progress as a University of Glasgow spinout in 2021 that has evolved from an early-stage research company into a commercially focused biotech business. Since securing an oversubscribed $14 million Series A funding round in September 2024, the company has achieved significant technical and regulatory milestones, including its first patent grants and a favourable biochemical-like classification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its lead peptide candidates.

Scotland Women in Tech Awards

A hairstylist turned tech entrepreneur was the wildcard winner at tonight’s spectacular Scotland Women in Technology (SWiT) 2025 Awards.
Tracey Aitken, co-founder of HairTracker, a digital record card app that allows salon professionals to document a client’s hair journey and details resulting in stronger customer relationships, took home the Career Changer of the Year award.
Silka Patel, Founder and Chair of Scotland Women in Technology said: “Our winners this year are truly inspirational; bringing fresh perspectives from new sectors, supporting a wealth of peers across the UK, and creating supportive environments for diversity to flourish.”
