ScotlandIS, the membership and cluster management organisation for Scotland’s digital technologies industry, has issued a final call for submissions to its flagship Digital Technology Awards for 2026. Members of Scotland’s tech sector now have until the extended deadline of Tuesday 13^th January to enter.

Now in its 16th year, the Digital Technology Awards celebrate the innovation, ambition and impact of Scotland’s digital technologies sector. The awards provide winners with industry-wide recognition and a powerful platform to showcase their achievements among peers, policymakers and investors.

The 2026 awards feature 11 categories, including the newly introduced AI Trailblazer award, which recognises organisations using artificial intelligence to drive innovation and deliver measurable impact across business and industry.

Nicola Taylor, chief operating officer at ScotlandIS, said: “The past few years have tested businesses in ways few could have anticipated. Yet time and again, our tech sector has shown resilience, creativity and optimism in the face of uncertainty. While we might be small in size, Scotland has so much to shout about, especially when it comes to our AI, cyber security and space technology communities.

“Awards like these play a vital role in shining a spotlight on the incredible innovation taking place right across the country. Scotland produces world-class digital technology talent, and we want to make sure those success stories are seen, celebrated and shared.”

Entries are encouraged from companies and individuals from every corner of Scotland’s tech ecosystem, from start-ups and scale-ups to established enterprises, as well as individuals at the start of their digital careers.

“We know that Scotland’s tech strengths stretch far beyond our major cities,” Nicola added. “From rural and island communities to emerging regional hubs, there is outstanding work happening in software, data, AI, cyber security and digital services. These awards are about recognising that breadth of talent and the impact it is having at home and internationally.”

The Digital Technology Awards 2026 will take place on Thursday 19 March 2026 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow. All entries will be assessed by an independent panel of judges drawn from across the digital technologies sector, with the shortlist announced ahead of the ceremony.
