A new plan to translate Scotland’s innovation and expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) into more companies, jobs and investment is being published today.

Independent analysis forecasts that AI could contribute ÂŁ23 billion a year to the Scottish economy by 2035.

Nearly 300 AI-focussed companies are already operating in the country, with major international investments in the country’s skills and infrastructure also being made.

They include Lenovo, which has chosen Edinburgh as one of just two global locations to form a new AI Research and Development Hub.
