A UK-based financial services firm is facing technical issues on Friday, causing issues for users to log into and use digital services or make transactions.
Hargreaves Lansdown, based in Bristol, serves about two million people in the UK as an private investment management firm, said that while clients’ data and assets were secure, their online services were disrupted.
The firm did say that there was “no evidence of any cyber incident data breach.”
According to stats from Downdetector, the outage began on Thursday evening, with thousands reporting technical issues. Reported issues spiked again this morning as users struggled to log in or carry out transactions.
Hargreaves Lansdown is an investment platform that allows users to directly buy and sell shares on the stock market as well as other investments. It also offers financial advice and trading accounts.

The firm apologies on social media for the inconvenience to customers, which was met with much dismay from users.
Some claimed that the company cost them money from the outage, with some users asking the firm for compensations for the downtime.
The firm says that it is still working to resolve the issue.
