Holland & Barrett has announced a new partnership with Glasgow-based digital health service provider Phlo to provide customers with access to clinically-led weight management services across its stores and online.

The UK health and wellness retailer said the partnership is designed to support a more sustainable and holistic approach to weight management, combining Holland & Barrett’s existing nutrition and wellness range with additional clinical support provided by Phlo.

Under the partnership, Phlo’s clinical weight management services will be featured across Holland & Barrett stores and online, signposting customers to additional support alongside the retailer’s existing product range. Holland & Barrett said it will also continue to invest in its own-brand weight management ranges, with new launches planned throughout 2026 and beyond.

Phlo, a GPhC-registered pharmacy and provider of digital health services, will be responsible for delivering all clinical services under the partnership. This will include patient assessment, patient care, and safety, with services accessible through hollandandbarrett.com and via QR codes in Holland & Barrett stores across the UK.

The service will be powered by Phlo Connect, the company’s API-driven digital infrastructure platform. According to the announcement, the platform sits behind the customer experience to support clinical assessment, prescribing, dispensing, and ongoing patient support.

The partnership follows the launch of Holland & Barrett’s Back Your Body campaign, which reflects the retailer’s focus on helping people better understand their bodies and build sustainable, lifelong habits through accessible advice, products, and tailored support.

It also comes as weight management continues to be a challenge for many adults. Among people who bought health and wellness products from Holland & Barrett in the last 12 months, 26% reported experiencing challenges with weight management over the same period, according to IPSOS The State of the Nation’s Health 2026.

Leila Thabet, Director of Wellness Platform at Holland & Barrett, said: “We know that weight management is deeply personal and that the right support can look different for everyone. As one of the most pressing health concerns facing customers today, it requires a flexible approach, and our role is to support customers in a way that works for them.

“This partnership with Phlo allows us to broaden the offer available within our stores and online, while staying true to what we do best – supporting customers with trusted wellness expertise. By working with a regulated partner with market-leading expertise and technology, we can ensure that those seeking clinically supervised support can access it in a responsible way, alongside the nutrition and wellbeing guidance needed to support sustainable, long-term health outcomes.”
