TecTonic Night Summit returns to BAaD on 10 September, bringing together founders, creatives, investors and innovators from across Scotland and beyond.

Following three consecutive sold-out events and more than 1,400 attendees, TecTonic Night Summit will return to Barras Art and Design (BAaD) on Thursday 10 September 2026 as part of Glasgow Tech Week.

Taking place immediately after Fusion Fest, Glasgow City Innovation District’s flagship conference, TecTonic transforms BAaD into what organisers describe as “Scotland’s Innovation Market Square”, a vibrant festival-style evening gathering bringing together 500 founders, investors, creatives, technologists, students, community organisations and business leaders under one roof.

Rather than following the traditional conference format, TecTonic blends cross-industry networking, exhibitions, mentorship, live performance and interactive experiences into a collaborative community showcase that reflects the diversity of Scotland’s innovation ecosystem.

Nick Murray, Director of TecTonic, said: “Scotland doesn’t need another networking event or talking shop. What it needs are more opportunities for brilliant people from different communities to positively cross paths.

“TecTonic exists to create those collisions. We want founders speaking with artists, investors meeting the people building tomorrow’s tech, students chatting with CEOs and community organisations standing alongside policymakers. That’s where the most interesting conversations start.”

The event takes its name from tectonic plates, reflecting the belief that innovation happens when different industries, disciplines and communities overlap. That philosophy has helped TecTonic grow into one of Scotland’s most distinctive grassroots innovation gatherings, aligned with more than 70 Community Partners spanning entrepreneurship, technology, creative industries and business support.

This year’s sponsors include Johnston Carmichael, Dell Technologies, Barclays Eagle Labs, Techscaler, Gigged AI, Emploi, Infix Support, FORM Careers, Flyte Cloud Services and Silmaril Consulting, with further partners to be announced in the coming weeks.

One of the newest organisations to join TecTonic’s growing Community Partner network is Plistic Media, a platform bringing together Scotland’s creative and media industries into a single, searchable directory. Designed to make it easier to discover creative talent and encourage collaboration across disciplines, Plistic shares TecTonic’s belief that stronger connections lead to stronger ecosystems.

“Scotland is home to an incredible wealth of creative talent, but too often it’s fragmented across different industries and communities,” Kayla Megan Burns, Founder of Plistic Media, said.

“Plistic exists to make that talent easier to discover, celebrate and collaborate with, creating more opportunities for independent creatives and businesses to thrive.”

Partnering with TecTonic felt like a natural fit because we’re both focused on bringing people together. When founders, creatives, technologists and innovators connect across traditional boundaries, that’s where new ideas emerge and Scotland’s creative economy becomes even stronger.”
