UK consumers will now be able to access personalised credit scores from ChatGPT thanks to a new offering from Experian.
The new update will allow UK users to link their authenticated credit scores to an AI platform, allowing them to see live credit scores, track their history, and review any factors that impact their credit.
The plugin would also allow users to compare current account offers in an effort to help customers pick the best current account for them.
Experian says that the credit information is not exposed to, or used by, the AI model when generating responses, saying that the AI tool was developed with security and privacy as a priority.

“As people increasingly seek money advice on a range of different channels, it’s important the information they get is accurate and genuine,” said Edu Castro, managing director of Experian consumer services for UK and Ireland.
“This is fundamental to our strategy of meeting people wherever they choose to engage with us and helping make credit understanding truly accessible, especially for younger consumers who are growing up with AI as their first port of call for financial questions.”
