Edinburgh-based Administrate has clinched a deal with one of Silicon Valley’s leading cloud-based tech firms.

administrateEdinburgh-based software developer Administrate has secured a potentially million-pound deal with one of Silicon Valley’s fastest growing cloud-based technology firms, CloudShare. Administrate provides software training platforms to a variety of clients, including PwC and the University of York, to help them manage online teaching programmes. The deal with CloudShare will enable the company to provide greater value to increase the scope of its business and provide services to more customers.

John Peebles, CEO of Administrate, said:

“Partnerships that involve technical integrations like this mean a huge quality of life increase for mutual customers. They will save time, provide a better student experience, and ultimately improve learning outcomes. We’re delighted to be working with CloudShare.”

Zvi Guterman, chief executive of Cloud Share, also commented on their new relationship, saying:

“With CloudShare, training organisations can use the cloud to give each student an individualised, safely contained virtual lab for learning that behaves exactly like the real hardware. Combined with Administrate’s training management system, organisations get a complete cloud training solution.”

Administrate, which is based in CodeBase, currently employs about 55 people, and is backed by Scottish angel syndicate Archangels.

“Administrate alone provides a ton of value for customers, but we realise we can’t (and don’t) do it all,” Peebles added. “It’s relationships like these that are created with the success of our customers in mind that we find to be truly exciting, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!”
