Not every digital technology news channel would think about (or could get away with) opening a new year with a quote from prog Gods ELP, but that’s DIGIT. We do things differently.

DIGIT 2018

In 2018 we’re planning more new and fascinating ways to make our content even better and cover even more of the amazing work happening in Scotland.

First of all, we’re planning more regular features. More columns every month and more in-depth investigation into the whole tech community in Scotland – the whole of Scotland.

From the highlands and islands to the borders, we’re planning to take DIGIT on the road and visit the hubs, the clusters and the hotspots which are making Scotland a tech pioneer. Despite the awards and the lovely castle, it’s not all about Edinburgh. Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen, Stirling… we want to hear from you too.

More expert insight. We’ve been talking to some of the country’s pioneers, business leaders, entrepreneurs and visionaries. We plan to use them ruthlessly and bring their insight to you in a range of new columns. From start-ups to stumbling blocks, infrastructure to interactive entertainment, DIGIT wants to reflect what’s really going on in Scotland.

Interaction! We want more! Being ‘the media’ is fine, but it’s a little one-sided, old-fashioned and well, misses out the audience. We’re planning some change to make sure we’re listening as well as talking, taking input and advice from our readers and socialising, sharing and shaping our content based on your feedback.

You folks rock, you need to remember that.

More partnerships. We’re talking to all of the major organisations, groups, agencies, networks, awards and bodies to make sure DIGIT is at every major event, covering every significant news story and making sure the rest of the world knows exactly how awesome Scotland’s digital technology sector is.

In short, we’ll keep rocking and rolling, take the good work we started last year and turn it all the way up to 18.

DIGIT is officially back online on January 8.
