Edinburgh-based online scheduling company Appointedd has announced global expansion plans including the extension of its back-end software functionality to work in five different languages.

The online booking and scheduling firm is currently being used in more than 167 countries worldwide and said it is experiencing high global demand for its services. The company added that it is on track to double its international presence this year.

Appointedd is used by businesses ranging from global professional services business, multinational retailers and two of the ‘big 4’ accounting firms. The firm’s technology aims to reduces manual scheduling by enabling businesses’ calendar management, appointment booking, virtual masterclasses, facilities management, webinars, and other events.

For customers making bookings using Appointedd’s software, the tech detects the location of the customer and automatically translates to their language and accounts for differences in time zones for bookings.

The latest software enhancement means that the multi-language functionality has been extended to business users as well, allowing them to choose from over five languages in which to use the back end of the software. This enables firms to manage their calendars and bookings in their native language.
