EBar, an Aberdeen-based hospitality tech startup, has scored an equity raise of £844k – taking the company’s total to over £2 million since its inception.
Founded in 2016, the company aims to provide an automated, streamlined hospitality experience for customers.
In the last six months, the company has seen over £1 million in sales, with its self-service beer kiosks – which can pour two pints in under 30 seconds – being used at 40 different sport and entertainment venues.
Funding was provided by ROD Consortium, Jenson Funding, Partners, Seedrs, Equity Gap and Gabriel Investment Syndicate.
EBar aims to use the new funding to double its self-service drink-dispensing tech fleet.
The company is also planning to branch out to the South of England by establishing a second facility.
Founders Sam Pettipher and Nick Beeson also hope the funding will enable them to continue their research and develop new offerings for customers.
Increasing the sales of low carbon footprint draught beverages is also a major aim of the company.

Nick Beeson, co-founder and Commercial Director of EBar said: “There has been tremendous demand for our EBar ® dispense kiosks since we started operating at commercial scale. We have seen that our high service speed allows event operators to capture revenues that are otherwise lost due to long bar queues.
“We’re growing fast so that we can support more customers who are struggling with staff shortages and increased costs, and who want to delight their customers.”
