Edinburgh based IT Managed Service Provider Dunedin IT has returned its highest ever turnover of £2.1 million in its latest financial year end results, with 40% growth in revenue over the past three years. 

The company was able to attract a number of new clients over the past 12 months, after making significant investments in staff and technology that enhanced its service offering, including a new workflow management platform, and a number of new positions across the UK to bring them closer to their customers. 

Dunedin IT also signed an exclusive cybersecurity partnership with Acronis this year, advancing its positioning in cybersecurity, and led to a sponsorship of Hiberian FC.

“We are delighted to have achieved these latest results in difficult trading circumstances over the last year,” Dunedin IT Director Jamie Clague said.

“Challenges with the cost and availability of hardware, alongside a turbulent period to recruit talent in Information Technology, have ensured we’ve had to work harder and smarter than ever to succeed. Our team is now spread across the UK, giving us greater reach than ever before and the ability to cover the entire country.”

The accelerating deployment of  fibre across the UK has resulted in a rise in new internet connections being deployed by Dunedin IT, with the pandemic also driving demand from work-from-home staff requiring fast, dependable and secure systems and connectivity.

Other emerging technologies such as 5G cellular and low-code development have contributed significantly to the projects the company has delivered, with technical capability and trust continuing to be key drivers for success.

David Inglis, Dunedin IT Director, commented on some of the clients the company was able to work with: “Our dependability and agility have allowed us to continue to deliver unique and complex solutions for clients such as Scottish Wildlife Trust and The Alnwick Garden in Northumberland. ”

The company expects further growth in the coming year, with a particular focus on cyber-security, virtualized IT team, and low code development. 2023 will see the launch of a dedicated cyber-security specialists, Two Labs with David Inglis taking up the role of Managing Director, whilst Jamie Clague becomes Managing Director of Dunedin IT.
