Microsoft is investivating an outage that is allegedly affecting thousands as their Teams, Xbox Live, and Outlook suffer “a potential networking issue,” affecting users globally.

Various reports have stated that thousands can not access their emails or connect with their work colleges due to the issue.

The outage was confirmed on Microsoft’s Twitter account, which said the company had identified a “potential networking issue and are reviewing telemetry to determine the next troubleshooting steps.”

Microsoft Azure was also impacted, with a service degredation and networking issue which is impacting connectivity of the service for certain users.

Recently, Microsoft Azure was confirmed as the exlcusive cloud services provider to OpenAI’s partnership with Microsoft.

On the company’s status page, a list of impacted services include: Teams, Exchange Online, Outlook, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Graph.

According to Down Detector, at the peak of the outage, 2,176 Teams , 3,100 Office, 3942 Outlook, 1372 Xbox Live, and 747 Azure accounts and users were affected.

Currently, there are no further updates.

At the time of writing, the Teams accounts of Digit staff appear to be functioning as normal.
