Cyborn plans to bring to market a breakthrough data security technology; with a solution that is faster, cheaper and more secure than existing technologies.

Founder, Dr David Lanc is a former Executive Director of RBS and founder of online identity protection and data privacy start-up Payfont. He is also an expert and researcher in people centered safety, privacy and protection in the digital world.

The solution applies breakthroughs in ‘quantum fragmentation’ and ‘stealth distribution’ to provide a level of security that the founder believes is better than encryption. Quantum fragmentation takes sensitive or personal data and breaks it down unpredictably into smaller particles of data, at extremely high speed.

The particles are then ‘obfuscated’ so that the original data is anonymised, making it unable to be traced back to its owner or reconstituted into the original data. Only legitimate users are able to retrieve this dispersed and anonymised data.

Stealth distribution uses Cloud computing to disperse data particles across Cloud, local and device storage using active software components that dynamically move between online and offline status, thus averting detection.

Future plans for Cyborn

Cyborn is planning to develop its products in the UK and China, deploying cloud computing infrastructure to build its ‘quantum fragmentation’ and ‘stealth distribution’ platform. The company plans to scale up once it has interested global partners in place and has already attracted start-up funding from the United States.
