Founded in 2018, the Scottish digital transformation company provides guidance and consultation to help companies grow and scale.

“We are reducing business risk for companies when it comes to implementing tech and software, and with an agile group of highly specialised people in place we liken ourselves to a special ops team.” said Darren Auld, ClearSky Logic CEO and Co-founder. “Working on a project basis following a thorough preparation phase, we can deliver software much quicker than the competition.”

The company says it is seeing an increased demand to help companies implement technologies like ChatGPT, Blockchain technology, and carbon emission reductions.

“Essentially, we have two main service lines. Our discovery workshop allows us to meet with the company and run a two to three day session, so we can discuss problems, challenges, and desired outcomes,” said Phil Telfer, ClearSky CTO and Co-founder. “We then deploy our tech team on a project basis to help businesses build, scale, and develop. Sometimes this can be our tech team working separately on a project, or it can be alongside the company’s existing tech team.”

According to Auld, financial services is ClearSKy’s target sector, which he believes will see an increased need for their work in the coming years.

According to a study done by 10x, 64% of banking professionals admit the slow speed of their digital transformation has resulted in them missing out on new customers.

The company has and continues to grow in their Edinburgh headquarters and Glasgow office, reporting a headcount of 25 at the end of Q1 this year with expectations to add another 10-15 people, according to a press release.

Eyeing large industry hubs like London and Manchester along with existing partnerships in Edinburgh and Glasgow will set ClearSky up to collaborate with a wide pool of tech companies in the UK.

In 2020, Manchester was named the fastest growing tech city in Europe according to Tech Nation. London on the other hand is the largest tech ecosystem outside of the United States, according to dealroom, surpassing hubs like Paris, Tel Aviv, and Beijing.

As it stands, ClearSky works with a UK tech client base including Siccar, Urocked, Investment Tribe, Gigged.ai, Fresh Car, LendingCrowd, Together Energy, Lettingweb, Mitsubishi, and Biscuit Tin.
