AIMday (Academic Industry Meeting day) is part of a series of events, which cover topics such as data, manufacturing and energy. This upcoming event will cover issues such as data storage, cloud computing, machine learning and the application of data science in areas such as healthcare.
Hosted by Edinburgh Innovations within the University of Edinburgh, AIMday is an international franchise established as part of an initiative started by Ångström Materials Academy at Uppsala University in Sweden in 2008.
At the last AIMday held in the city, Edinburgh Innovations matched 14 representatives of 10 companies with 22 academics.
By bringing together businesses and world-leading specialists, AIMday Data seeks to tackle real-world problems posed by current and future trends in the broad field of data. Through this collaboration the day aims to find solutions to better utilise the insights provided by data.
