In line with government and regulatory expectations, in 2021 Scottish Water launched a six-year investment programme aimed at making improvements to Scotland’s water and wastewater infrastructure.

With over 2,500 planned projects in progress to improve drinking water quality, protect the environment and support economic growth, the programme aims to support the the water supplier’s three strategic ambitions of ‘providing excellence in service, going beyond net zero emissions, and helping to deliver greater value and financial sustainability.’

As part of the multi-year contract, BPD Zenith, will work in partnership with Scottish Water to, according to the organisation, ‘streamline operations, maximise asset performance and efficiency, and ensure the continued delivery of high-quality water and wastewater services to all its customers across Scotland.’

BPD will provide its tailored, fully hosted asset management solution, MaxiCloud. Powered by IBM’s Maximo Application Suite and selected by Scottish Water to drive asset management transformation and provide both short and long-term technical innovation and improvement, including improved resource allocation, reduced downtime, and increased cost savings.

The contract also includes the implementation of Copperleaf’s H2O Solution to provide asset investment planning to support Scottish Water’s SR21 investment period and long-term transformation programme.
