So far, we’ve run 5 successful accelerator programmes, supporting 23 business in the early stages of their journeys. Every year we issue an open call for applications. And every year, we are amazed by the range of ideas, the enthusiasm of founders, and the scale of their ambition.
Scotland’s tech startup sector is buzzing and we’re proud to be a part of its success.
Is it right for you?
Geovation Scotland is a collaboration between Registers of Scotland (RoS) and Ordnance Survey (OS) – existing to support the creation of new technology startups, innovating in the land, property and location sectors.
Applications are currently open for the Spring 2024 accelerator programme, and we are looking for early stage (pre-seed/seed) companies who have spent time validating their idea with potential customer/users and have a good understanding of the problem they are looking to solve.
Before sending us your application, consider how you might address the following questions that we use to select companies for our programme:
- Does the idea use land, property or location data?
- Is the problem well defined and relevant for someone?
- Is the solution clear, feasible and does it address the problem?
- Is the business model sustainable?
- How innovative is the idea?
An ambition to utilise land, property or location data within your proposed solution is also a non-negotiable element of our criteria. – As part of the accelerator programme we provide supported 12-month access to a range of RoS and OS datasets for exploration purposes.
Where possible please be clear about the data you are looking to use.
