Ordinarily, we would use this column to showcase a tech company that has committed to and benefited from apprenticeships.
Both the employer and the employee are given a platform to talk about the positive difference recruiting an apprentice has made to their organisation, and of course the working life of that individual apprentice.
However, the success of apprenticeships rely absolutely on their ability to meet the needs of the industry.
With that in mind, Skills Development Scotland has issued a call to action for all those involved in employing digital technology staff to get involved in reshaping digital apprenticeships for the future.

We are actively seeking employers of all sizes – along with learning providers and representative bodies – who are involved in recruiting those with digital technology skills to input into this important design and development work.
You can personally take ownership of ensuring digital apprenticeships are relevant, adaptable and will create the skills that you need going forward.
