The Service Management Connector will support millions of resources per year for global telecoms, aviation and oil and gas companies.

Cloudsoft has been named as launch partner by Amazon Web Services (AWS) for its Service Management Connector for ServiceNow.

The Edinburgh firm will aid AWS with the installation and customisation of the Connector, as well as working with the tech giant on a Connector for JIRA environments. This includes tying in with new and existing workflows as well as assisting with creating custom views and tables.

End users of ServiceNow will be able to provision, manage, and operate Amazon’s cloud service resources natively through its platform using the Connector, allowing access to resources through the AWS Service Catalog.

Additionally, users will be able to execute automation playbooks through AWS Systems Manager.

The Service Management Connector currently has high adoption levels and supports millions of resources per year for global telecoms, aviation, plus oil and gas organisations.

Cloudsoft is already an AWS Strategic Partner and has been engaged with the organisation for several years.

Commenting on the deal, Ross Gray, CEO of Cloudsoft, said: “The ability to streamline and integrate cloud provisioning with IT service management platforms is a must.

“Given the volume of resources that big enterprise organisations must process every day, requires a robust connector to establish and maintain the link between the two. The AWS Service Management Connector for ServiceNow does just that.

“Being involved and named as a launch partner will particularly boost our business and we are proud to have been called upon by AWS to support this as well as support their customers during the installation process.”

AWS said it has approached Cloudsoft to be launch partner as the company had a “breadth of experience” in supporting global organisations to reduce their complex IT estates.

Cloudsoft has previous experience creating the connectors needed for ServiceNow and JIRA above other organisations globally.

Gray continued: “In addition to the technical support we provide to AWS and its customers, the consulting aspect of our business also means we have the expertise internally to counsel organisations internationally as they adopt more AWS services and are seeking insight into how to better manage their estates with AWS management and governance, including Service Catalog and Configurations.

“We anticipate this engagement will continue to grow as we support AWS’s future enhancements to the Connector which will directly contribute to the further growth of Cloudsoft.”

MaSonya Scott, Principal Specialist at AWS Service Management Connectors at AWS added: “Having worked with the team and getting to grips with the highly skilled work Cloudsoft provides for its wider client base from both a technical and strategic perspective, we were impressed with the deep domain expertise they held.”

Earlier this year, Cloudsoft announced high double-digit growth in revenue across both strands of its businesses: AMP and Tempo.

In October, the Edinburgh firm was recognised as a top 10 employer in the 2021 UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech list.
