Scottish managed hybrid cloud services provider, Brightsolid has announced the appointment of Andy Laing as its new Chief Financial Officer.
A KPMG trained chartered accountant with extensive senior management experience, Andy has previously worked with various technology investment funds and extensively at director level within VC and PE backed deep tech organisations.
The appointment comes at a time of significant investment by Edinburgh-based Brightsolid, as it launched new Managed Detection and Response and Backup as a Service offerings at the end of 2022, and CEO Elaine Maddison said she was thrilled to have Laing join the business.
Commentting, Maddison said: “Andy has extensive experience of Scotland’s technology sector and I’m delighted that he is bringing all his knowledge and skills to Brightsolid as we enter the next phase of our growth plan. We’re an ambitious organisation and Andy will play a key role in helping us realise those ambitions.”

Andy Laing was equally pleased to be joining the MSP.
