CodeBase, the growth platform for tech ecosystems and CoreWeave, The Essential Cloud for AI™, have announced a partnership that will provide support for Scottish AI startups. This support will contribute to the acceleration of the Scottish AI community and bolsters Scotland’s overall proposition as an innovative and startup-friendly nation.
To launch the partnership, CodeBase and CoreWeave are hosting an exclusive event for AI startups on Tuesday 5th May in Edinburgh, the first in a series of founder-focused events and activity going forward. CoreWeave Ventures, which backs founders and companies developing the platforms and technologies shaping the AI ecosystem and the next frontier of computing, will also participate in the initial event.
As part of the new collaboration, startups and scaleups supported by CodeBase will gain access to CoreWeave expertise through technical sessions, joint reports, and opportunities to explore advanced AI use cases on CoreWeave infrastructure. CoreWeave and CodeBase will create opportunities to develop AI platforms to interact with computing capabilities through a series of events.
CoreWeave recently led a £1.5 billion AI infrastructure investment into Scotland, the first major investment of its kind in the region alongside DataVita, Scotland’s largest data centre.
James Trotman, VP of Growth at CodeBase, said: “This marks the first major collaboration between Scotland’s national tech ecosystem platform and a global leader in AI infrastructure, aligning world-class infrastructure investment with founder and talent development at scale.”
Ben Richardson, Managing Director, International at CoreWeave, said: “Scotland is fast becoming an exciting centre of AI innovation. Our partnership with CodeBase and recent investment in Scotland reflects CoreWeave’s belief in the strength of this ecosystem. By providing a world-class AI cloud platform to Scotland’s thriving AI community, we’re creating new opportunities for researchers, engineers, and entrepreneurs to build globally impactful technologies.”
