Creator Campus, a digital platform that connects student and graduate entrepreneurs across the UK, has opened registrations for ‘Scotland’s first virtual Startup Careers Fair’ – a one-day event aimed at students and recent graduates from across the country’s universities and colleges. 

Supported by the Scottish Government through the Ecosystem Fund, the Startup Careers Fair will aim to be a gateway for entrepreneurially minded students to find co-founders, join early-stage teams and connect with employers offering paid micro-internships.

The event will bring together students and recent graduates from all 19 Scottish universities and 24 colleges for an afternoon of workshops, live opportunity listings and virtual networking. 

Creator Campus says the fair is intended both for students looking to launch their own ventures and for those seeking to accelerate their careers within the startup ecosystem. 

Furthermore, the event will present three funding opportunities open to participants: the Founder’s Grant of £500 for the most compelling startup profile created for the fair; the Freelancer’s Grant of £500 for the best freelancer profile; and a Refer a Friend prize draw in which both referrer and referee can win £100 if the friend lists the referrer’s name when signing up.

Eligibility for the event includes current students and staff affiliated with a Scottish university or college, recent graduates up to two years post-graduation, and any individual in Scotland under the age of 30. The fair is open to undergraduates, postgraduates and PhD students alike.

Employers and organisations seeking to reach entrepreneurial student talent are invited to submit job and project opportunities for free; Creator Campus says employers do not need to attend the live event and that submitted opportunities will be posted on the platform.
