DataKirk has announced that tickets for their inauguaral Scottish Ethnic Minority Talent Summit and Festival 2024, are now on sale.

The data-driven advocate for diversity and inclusion is calling for partners, sponsors and exhibitors to take place in the event, an evolution on the company’s past two Scottish Black Talent Summits.

The SEM Summit 2024 promises to be a talent-driven event, aiming to unite local employers, academic institutions, corporate organisations, non-profits, and government agencies to share ideas and best practices for building and managing a thriving multicultural workforce in Scotland.

Panel discussions, keynote speeches from industry leaders, and interactive roundtable sessions are all to be expected, with the goal of equipping attendees with the tools and strategies needed to navigate today’s complex work environment.

The event will take place on 31 October 2024 at Tynecastle Park, McLeod Street, Edinburgh. The event follows two successful Scottish Black Talent Summits put on by DataKirk.

With the theme Uniting Communities, Empowering Talent, SEM Fest is set to offer a vibrant programme of live musical performances, interactive activities, and a showcase of arts, dance, and cultural experiences. The event aims to be a fun-filled day that the entire family can enjoy, while also serving as a meaningful celebration of the cultural fabric that strengthens Scotland’s communities.

SEM Fest will take place on 2 November at the BoxHub Warehouse in Glasgow, and aims to offer insights, innovation, and invaluable connections in conjunction with the festive activities.

DataKirk Launched the SEM Summit and Festival to better aid and repesent Scotland’s dynamic talent pool in the hope to transform the narrative surrounding talent, diversity, and opportunities.

“It is clear that it’s us people that makes this country what it is: it’s not the weather, it’s not the accent, it’s not the landscape,” Abel Aboh, data management lead at the Bank of England .said at the Scottish Black Talent Summit in October 2023, which DIGIT attended. “It is people.”
