The move came as part of a double acquisition made by Babble in an attempt to strengthen its Cloud Service Provider (CSP) offering. Babble also acquired Tewkesbury-based Midland Comms.
These acquisitions will collectively add £4.5 million to Babble’s revenue, 90% of which is recurring. According to Babble, this brings its overall revenue run rate to over £100m per year.
The two acquisitions will also see more than 30 new employees join Babble’s ranks, and have their customer base grow to over 18,000. Babble’s customer base is largely in the mid-market space with a growing base of enterprise customers. As well as add more than 350 customers across Scotland, the North of England, and Northern Ireland.
Babble will now have over 155,000 cloud-based users, 150,000 mobile connections and 8,000 contact centres-as-a-service supported agents.
The acquisitions come on the tail end of five other acquisitions Babble had made in the first quarter of 2023. Techquarters and Stonegate were acquired by the company on 8 March as well as other undisclosed customer base purchases earlier in the year.

The acquisition of the two recent startups is meant to complement Babble’s overall CSP offering, underpinned by two business divisions: Talk, which brings businesses and people together through mobile, unified communications and contact centre solutions. As well as tech, which powers UK businesses with a suite of security solutions, IT support, and Microsoft offerings.
“These two strategic acquisitions significantly strengthen our position as the only UK Cloud Service Provider of both Comms and IT solutions at scale. They bring high quality retained customers and fantastic, expert people into Babble,” said Matt Parker, CEO of Babble.
“This also further extends our geographical reach across the UK, bolstering our ability to offer nationwide coverage with local support to give customers the best possible levels of service,” he continued.
