There are now just two days to go until the Fintech 2020 Virtual Summit, hosted by DIGIT.
Now in its seventh year, the Summit is a must-attend event for senior personnel in the finance and financial technology community, focusing on the use of emerging technologies such as AI, ML and blockchain in the sector.
Held on the 29th September, this year’s Summit takes place amid one of the most turbulent periods in modern history and will consider the role of financial services in the socio-economic recovery.
Disruptions to both industry and society this year have highlighted the critical importance of financial technology innovation, with mobile banking and agile infrastructures now of huge importance to the provision of frontline services.
Commenting on the Summit, DIGIT Director Ray Bugg said: “We are delighted by the response we have had in the run-up to the 2020 Financial Technology Summit, with excellent uptake from speakers, stakeholders and delegates alike.
“This has been an unprecedented and extremely challenging year for all industries, and the financial services sector has had to endure a great deal of disruption. However, that disruption has presented an opportunity for organisations to take stock, innovate and make positive changes to the way they operate.
“DIGIT’s virtual event will explore how the financial technology sector can play a critical role in fuelling economic recovery and improving social outcomes – both here in Scotland and globally.”
