“We’re delighted with the success of this investment round and will channel these funds towards growing our global footprint and further improving our innovative range of online chat solutions within a rapidly moving AI landscape,” said Wes Beard, Konversable CEO.

Glasgow-based AI firm Konversable has raised £300,000 following a successful investment round, attracting funds from a range of UK and international angel investors.

Konversable said that their AI chatbot and messaging technology allows businesses and organisations to have ‘smarter conversations’ with their customers online using the firm’s trademarked MediaFlo system, which allows operators and customers to embed custom media, including video, audio or images, into the chat flow.

As well as working to integrate its AI chat products with Facebook, the firm’s mission is to become the “go-to” WhatsApp API provider of choice for UK businesses.

The investment will go towards helping Konversable establish a global customer base, allow for further product development to enhance user experience, and enable the company to scale up its strategic partnership programme.

Konversable CEO Wes Beard said: “We’re delighted with the success of this investment round and will channel these funds towards growing our global footprint and further improving our innovative range of online chat solutions within a rapidly moving AI landscape.”

The company’s products currently support a range of clients across industries including automotive, recruitment, property, financial services and hospitality, working directly with firms to implement wider technology solutions.

According to Konversable, the company has already gained strategic partnerships with other tech providers and web agencies in the UK as well as overseas, with clients around the world including in Ireland, Singapore, and Australia.

Co-founder and director Stephen Upton said: “We are proud to work with UK and global organisations, both directly and through partnerships with other tech companies, to implement custom-built chat and messaging solutions which suit their specific requirements. The support of our investors will play a key role in helping us scale our business on a global level.”
