ResDiary has integrated their online restaurant reservation system with Uber, allowing the seamless organisation of tasty nights out.

There’s no such thing as ‘fashionably late’ anymore – or not, at least, if Resdiary can help it. The Glasgow-based restaurant reservation service has teamed up with taxi heavyweight Uber to allow seamless booking of food and transport from their new application ResDiary Now. With just a few taps, users can find and reserve a table and book and track their taxi, all from a single point. The app also comes with a unique ‘Discover’ feature – powered by trusted reviews from the ResDiary site – which allows diners to better-explore their options nearby.

Fluidity has always been a core concern of the ResDiary team, with single-point functionality being the main hook of the new app. Since its inception, the original service has expanded to operate on the cloud, include waiting lists, and even offer gift vouchers. The service also features tools for managers to improve increase their restaurant’s attraction, including Yield Management and Marketing and CRM tools.

Commenting on how functionality has increased consumer demand, Mike Conyers, CEO and founder of ResDiary said: “Our lives revolve around technology. The days of people calling a cab or phoning for a reservation are dying out. Savvy diners want to do everything from their smartphone and preferably from one app.  It’s something that is already being done for travel with hotels, flights and car hire available from one site and we believe it is where planning an evening out is headed.

“The ResDiary Now app with the Uber partnership is a great way for operators to gain commission-free incremental bookings and is a great tool for diners. They can see exactly what venues have availability near them, read verified reviews and make a booking with just a couple of taps. Once their booking is made, they can just order their Uber and head out. It will be hugely beneficial to today’s busy consumer.”

RedDiary now is now used by over 7,400 restaurants in 57 countries worldwide, and seats more than 10.6 million covers monthly.
