Organised by FutureX, the purpose of the Impact Summit event is to inspire the reinvention of how we live, learn, work and play. This inaugural summit will take place on the 9th of May in Glasgow’s iconic Barras. It is to be the closing event of the Scotland CAN DO festival and will be held across three venues. Over 300 delegates from community groups, business, education and government are expected to attend.

The event will be supported by Scottish Enterprise as part of their work to make Scotland an attractive entrepreneurial destination with a difference. Unlike traditional conferences, the Impact Summit will have an interactive programme that allows delegate participation. Speakers will include Glaswegian author, artist and columnist Darren McGarvey aka Loki, Steve Dunlop CEO of Scottish Canals and Leah Hutcheon, CEO of Appointedd.

Impact Summit to Become Annual Event

The FutureX team plan to make this an annual event with the goal of inviting innovators from Scotland and around the world to form new meaningful partnerships that inspire change. The FutureX team, who are leading the project, is run by seasoned entrepreneurs Zoi Kantounatou, Adam Purvis and Bruce Walker, all experts in the Scottish start-up scene.
