60 branches of Lloyds Banking Group are set to close for the rest of the year, including 15 Bank of Scotland branches.
This brings the total branches earmarked for closure by the banking group to 190 for 2024, and 47 for the following year.
According to Lloyds, the use of the latest 60 branches set to be closed had fallen by 52% on average over the last five years as more customers turn to online and digital banking apps.
“Mobile banking is more popular than ever, with over 19 million customers choosing our app to manage their money,” read a statement.
“All of the branch locations announced for closure have alternative options for accessing cash nearby, such as a Post Office or free-to-use ATM.
“28 new community bankers will be introduces, in addition to those already helping communities to provide targeted banking support where a branch is closing.”
The latest round of banking closures will begin in October and last until June. More than 50 branches were announced to be closing between July 2024 and January 2025.

- 50 Hopetoun Street, Bathgate.
- 24 High Street, Bonnyrigg.
- 42 Main Street, Callander.
- 9 Longrow, South Campbeltown.
- 349-351 High Street, Cowdenbeath.
- 1 Bothwell Street, Dunfermline.
- 153 Portobello High Street, Portobello.
- Carberry Road, Kirkcaldy.
- Main Street, Kyle.
- Regent Centre Blackness Road, Linlithgow.
- Main Street, Mallaig.
- 37 Albert Street, Newton Stewart.
- 23 Westgate, North Berwick.
- 36-42 Montague Street, Rothesay.
- 18 Bridge Street, Wick.
Community bankers will be introduces in North Berwick, Callander, Kyle, Mallaig, and Campbeltown.
After this latest round of closures, Lloyds Banking Group will have a totla of 947 branches, with 108 Bank of Scotland locations, 373 Halifax locations, and 466 Lloyds Banks.
