Edinburgh-based startup, Make it Social has partnered with one of the UK’s leading ticketing agents, The Ticket Factory.
The move will see Make it Social provide group ticket booking services to two of the UK’s top entertainment venues; Arena Birmingham and the Genting Arena. Combined, the two venues attract nearly two million visitors each year.
First of its Kind
The partnership with The Ticket Factory, launched in 2007, is the first of its kind in the UK. Visitors to Arena Birmingham will now be able to book as a group but pay individually. The innovative Make it Social platform is a potential headache-solver for anyone booking tickets for a large group. With the ability to book as a group, yet pay individually, it opens up new avenues of choice to concert-goers and drastically enhances the ease of the booking process.
Eddie Robb, Founder and CEO of Make it Social said the announcement marks “another major milestone” for the company and that he is encouraged to the see popularity of the app increasing.
He said: “This announcement marks another major milestone for us. It’s amazing to be working with such a big player and to see our software encouraging an increasing number of friends and families to get together in real life.”
Strength to Strength
Make it Social was founded in 2013 and is based at Edinburgh’s Codebase, the largest tech incubator in the UK. The company has gone from strength to strength since its inception five years ago and in October 2017 marked another groundbreaking partnership with Ticketmaster.
Teaming up with the world’s largest ticket booking agency allowed the Edinburgh-based firm an opportunity to break new ground in multiple global markets. The Make it Social app was opened up to customers in Australia, New Zealand and across Europe.
Sports fans can also take now advantage, after the company agreed a partnership with Gloucester County Cricket Club in May 2018.
