Glasgow-based startup Odro is looking to expand its video-CV platform further afield attracting the interest of clients in London, connected to further agencies as far afield as Hong Kong, Singapore, New York and Sao Paolo.
Via its video platform, Ordo has already established relationships with around one hundred public and private agencies in the recruitment world, including Aberdeen City Council and Capita plc. As a result, the firm is also responsible for thousands of candidate-recruiter connections every week.
Now, the platform is about to embark on a series A fundraising round to take its platform to London, where the company has already wooed and wowed around 30 clients.
Ryan McCabe, CEO of Odro, reflected on the company’s rapid rise in popularity. He said: “Over the last twelve months we’ve won over 30 London-based clients and we’ve now got customers using Odro in offices as far away as Hong Kong, Singapore, New York and Sao Paolo.
“With strong client support, that’s given us the confidence to have a footprint in London that will allow us to win even more work there and to make further inroads into Europe and beyond.”
It’s no secret that the job market has become more competitive, but the internet has opened up a number of opportunities to expand and strengthen your CV, and your chances. According to Odro, 86% of hiring managers say that they would favour a video accompanying a candidates CV, a preference that has helped the launch of Odro’s freemium product BetterthanaCV.com. BetterthanaCV offers a similar service to Odro’s video platform, instead allowing candidates to interview themselves on video to popular interview questions, before attaching the product to their CV.
