Cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks identity security specialists CyberArk have announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which the former will acquire the latter.
Under the terms of the agreement, CyberArk shareholders will receive $45.00 in cash and 2.2005 shares of Palo Alto Networks common stock for each CyberArk share – coming out to an eye-watering $25 billion (approximately).
This strategic combination will mark Palo Alto Networks’ formal entry into Identity Security, establishing it as a core pillar of the company’s multi-platform strategy.
CyberArk and Palo Alto Networks are collaborating to expand identity protection across a broader range of users, including human, machine, and emerging autonomous AI identities.
The integration combines CyberArk’s expertise in Identity Security and Privileged Access Management (PAM) with Palo Alto Networks’ AI-driven security capabilities. The partnership is expected to support CyberArk’s ongoing development as a comprehensive identity security platform, while enabling joint customers to strengthen their overall security posture.
