Banking app customers across the UK are reporting issues and outages from some of the UK’s largest banks.
Downdetector saw more than 4,000 reports of technical issues from the Lloyds Bank app this Friday morning, with Halifax, Bank of Scotland (which are both part of Llyods Banking Group), and TSB customers also facing issues through the banks’ respective apps.
“We know some customers are having issues with internet banking and our apps,” a Lloyds Banking Group spokesperson said, as reported by the BBC.
“We’re sorry about this and we’re working to have it back to normal soon.”
As this Friday marks the last day of the month of February, many UK banking app users are facing the outage on payday.
A similar outage affected the Barclays mobile banking app in January, also on a Friday payday.
Bosses are reportedly facing issues in their attempts to pay staff, as a user of X claimed the outage prevented them from accessing their business account and issuing their staff’s paychecks.
