The Scottish Women in Technology Awards is a unique platform that champions and supports women who are achieving success within the technology sector.

The event also celebrates pioneering women working in education who are leading grassroots initiatives and nurturing the next generation of STEM pipeline talent.

Outstanding companies that are actively encouraging gender diversity also receive recognition for their efforts and forward thinking.

Highlighting Scotland’s Female Tech Talent

This group of extraordinary, passionate women have historically been underrepresented within the tech sector and not received the industry recognition they deserve, which is why the Scotland Women in Technology Awards are so vital.

Not only does it highlight their excellent work, it also shines a bright spot light on female role-models that can help inspire young girls and women to pursue careers in technology.

Ray Bugg, Founder of DIGIT has reprised his role this year as one of the judging panel. Commenting on the finalists, Bugg said: “The high calibre of the 2018 entrants, and resulting finalists, has demonstrated the immense pool of talent Scotland has to offer.

“I hope these awards act as a stimulus for women to start in tech, stay in tech and upskill to tech, and for girls to become engaged in STEM.
