DIGIT has announced the finalists for the second annual Scottish Financial Technology Awards.
The awards celebrate innovation and development across the Scottish financial technology ecosystem, featuring a series of categories designed to recognise outstanding individual and organisational achievements.
Held live at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh on Thursday 6th October, the ceremony marks the closing event of the 2022 Scotland Fintech Festival.
Celebrating Innovation
This year’s awards saw a record number of nominations. DIGIT Founder Ray Bugg said this highlights the growing strength of the Scottish fintech ecosystem, which bucked pandemic trends to continue innovating and expanding.
He said: “It’s been a privilege to see the Scottish fintech community flourish and mature in recent years. Despite the challenges faced during the pandemic, Scotland’s fintech sector continued to innovate, and looking ahead we expect it to play a key role in fuelling economic recovery and assisting consumers amidst the cost-of-living crisis.
“The quality of nominations for this year’s awards are testament to that culture of innovation we see across the Scottish fintech ecosystem. Congratulations to all of our finalists, we look forward to welcoming you on the 6th October.”
