Five Scottish tech companies are among the 13 businesses chosen to participate in international law firm Addleshaw Goddard’s AG Elevate mentoring scheme.

The largest AG Elevate cohort to date sees early stage companies from across the UK join the fast-track 10-month programme, which is designed to advance tech businesses in all sectors through legal challenges that arise as they scale-up.

The five Scottish tech companies on the mentoring programme include vertical farming business Intelligent Growth Solutions (IGS) and SWURF, which connects remote workers with welcoming host venues.

In addition, Soundsurf, a video platform for converting fans into financial supporters; YourSpin, which enables hospitality venue to reward customers using gamification; and Klik2learn, a digital provider of English language learning content, also join the cohort.

Designed, developed and delivered by AG’s expert lawyers, the flexible programme has now supported around 50 businesses since it launched in 2017. It helps businesses tackle the variety of legal and other challenges they may face when scaling up by providing access to legal advice, legal and business mentors and networks across the globe.

The selected businesses all have existing plans for high-growth and have received external funding.

Over the 10-month programme the chosen businesses will have access to legal mentors, legal advice and industry networks to help them elevate and grow their business.

The 2022 cohort will also receive bespoke documentation designed by Addleshaw Goddard, access to a collaborative online Hub as well as the opportunity to work alongside like-minded business professionals in the tech ecosystem to help elevate and grow their firms.
