Scottish health and safety software company, SHE, has announced the appointment of a new chairman Martin Fincham. As a leading software entrepreneur, Fincham brings with him years worth of experience working with top companies in Silicon Valley.
Fincham founded his first software company at 24 years old and most recently served as CEO of LANSA, a global B2B software vendor that provides services to over 8,000 customers globally.
Exciting Times
This appointment comes at an exciting time for SHE, as the software company continues to draw international recognition for Assure; a state-of-the-art software solution designed to simplify health and safety management in a number of organisations.
Launched in 2013, SHE Software’s web-based platform and mobile app has earned the company a glowing reputation and enabled it to begin increasing its international presence. This ever-growing global presence also led the company to introduce multilingual functionality to the Assure platform in early 2018
Additionally, in May 2018 SHE opened a new centre of operations in Chicago following a £3 million funding boost from NVM Private Equity. The opening of this centre has added US interests to its already well-established UK and APAC customer bases.
Impressive Credentials
SHE Software CEO, Matthew Elson, believes that Fincham’s “impressive entrepreneurial credentials” make him the ideal candidate for the software firm, adding leadership experience and “expertise in global go-to market strategies” to an already impressive team.
Elson added that through this addition, SHE Software can begin to break new ground in US markets.
He said: “Right now, our goal is to bring our innovative and dynamic health and safety solution to the US market. I firmly believe that we will achieve this with Martin’s help, support and guidance.”
Fincham’s immediate task at SHE Software will be to guide the leadership team in its continued mission to expand globally and offer insight into how to scale a global software business. SHE’s growing reputation, Finchman said, was a major factor in his decision to join the innovative Scottish-based firm.
He said: “I have witnessed and participated in several segments of the enterprise software market when truly modern SaaS platforms have gained rapid customer acceptance and started displacing previous market leaders.
“SHE Software’s cloud-based Assure system is now recognised in the industry as one such disruptor, evidenced by their rapid growth and recent funding to support international expansion. I look forward to supporting Matthew and the team, sharing my experience of taking a software business to global scale.”
