Care Sourcer Teams Up With Scottish Software Developer
Edinburgh head-quartered software developer, Cultivate, has partnered with Care Sourcer to build the healthtech firm a new platform to support its work with the NHS.Â
Software developer Cultivate has partnered with fellow Scottish start-up Care Sourcer. The software firm, which specialises in the creation of bespoke web applications, will work with the healthtech company to build it a new platform that will enable the NHS to find and provide care in the easiest way possible.
The partnership will see Cultivate work closely with Care Sourcer’s engineering team, led by CTO Charles Harley. Both teams are based out of Edinburgh’s incubator and tech campus, Code-Base, which will make the cooperation between the two easier to facilitate.
Cultivate’s chief commercial officer, Andy Robinson, believes the new platform has the potential to scale and transform the care sector: “The Care Sourcer team is tackling one of society’s greatest challenges. We’re excited to be supporting this journey.
“It’s also great to see two Edinburgh tech companies working so closely together, and we’re proud that our team’s expertise can play a part in tackling such a significant challenge.”
Edinburgh Becoming World-Class Engineering Hub
Harley said of the project: “We are on track to build industry-leading technology to tackle the UK’s care crisis, and it’s great to do that with the support of a high-quality team like Cultivate. It’s further evidence of Edinburgh growing its credentials as a world-class engineering hub.”
Andrew McGinley, CEO and co-founder of Care Sourcer, said of the collaboration: “We’ve known the team at Cultivate for a number of years now. We share a lot of the same values and as we look to further scale Care Sourcer in the months ahead, it’s comforting to know that we do that with their engineering talent at our disposal.”
This joint effort follows a year of significant milestones for both companies. Last year, Cultivate cemented its partnership with Deliveroo, Europe’s fastest growing start-up, working on several projects across the business.
Meanwhile, Care Sourcer secured a £8.5 million investment round led by Legal & General and ADV to develop its care-matching technology and grow its team.
