The seven Special Edition delegates, from start-up and established digital companies across Scotland, will attend the European Women in Technology conference in Amsterdam as well as spending an additional two days in the city meeting some of Amsterdam’s top business leaders.
Delegates will meet WeTransfer’s VP of Sales Natascha Chamuleau, TomTom’s Navigation Director Josette Udo, Chief Technology Officer for LeaseWeb Svenja de Vos, Digital Communications Manager for Scrn Paul Jordan and serial entrepreneur, writer and speaker Janneke Niessen.
Searra Dodds, the chief creative officer Jukebox Labs, will present a case study at the conference, explaining how redundancy lead her and her colleagues to create the new company offering the world’s first Trivia-as-Service business.
The goal of the programme is to empower and enable the female delegates to aim for the boardroom (or higher), with monthly training sessions focusing on themes ranging from pitching with confidence to leadership skills. The conference marks the halfway point for Special edition, with a trip to London scheduled for, where the delegates will meet innovative digital companies in the capital.
TRC Media’s Caroline Newson, Project Lead for Special Edition said: “Our planned trip to Amsterdam to meet up with leading ‘home grown’ digital companies made perfect sense when it also coincided with this conference. We are thrilled that one of our Special Edition delegates Searra Dodds will share the story of her Scottish business start-up JukeBoxLabs at this showcase of inspiring female leaders.”
