Startup Summit Silicon Valley Competition

The race is on to pick the hottest tech entrepreneur in the Startup Summit’s Silicon Valley competition.

The semi-finalists in the Startup Summit’s Silicon Valley competition is a who’s who of the brightest and most exciting new founders, CEOs and entrepreneurs in the UK’s digital technology sector.

The competition offers one fully-funded place on a five day leadership programme which visits San Francisco and Silicon Valley. The programme creates a unique space for entrepreneurs to converse with global influencers and gather insight from inside some of Silicon Valley’s most innovative and successful businesses.

The finalists in the competition are:

Dr Jamie Graves – founder of ZoneFox

ZoneFox is the multi award-winning cyber security company which help businesses protect themselves against insider threat.

Nadeem Sarwar – founder of Organised Health

Organised Health is disrupting the UK’s pharmacy sector with a full scale, mobile first, digital pharmacy with a focus on beautiful user experience and design.

Zara Nanu – founder of GapSquare

GapSquare uses technology combined with academic expertise to disrupt the way organisations manage diversity and inclusion, driving more productive and a dynamic workforce.

Taryn Gorre – founder of Kafoodle

Kafoodle is an award-winning foodtech software that is on a mission to bring transparency to the global foodchain.

Brian Smillie – founder of Beezer

Beezer is a new SaaS platform that bypasses app stores to deliver the benefits of a native app without the hassle and cost. The Beezer platform enables SMEs to quickly and easily create, distribute and manage mobile apps.

Martin McDonnell – founder of Sublime

Sublime develops digital VR & AR tools for the workplace. The company believes that virtual, augmented and mixed reality technologies are converging and together have the potential to transform the the way we work.

Andrew Parfery – director of Care Sourcer

Care Sourcer is a matching tool between a care seeker and care providers. It is not a directory of care providers, but an interactive tool which gives the care seeker control.

From this short list of eight company founders, three will be chosen by judges to pitch live at the Startup Summit in November. The final winner will be chosen on the day.

The leadership programme and the visit to Silicon Valley takes place in April 2018.
