An adult website has leaked the highly personal details of more than 4,000 porn stars, according to cybersecurity researchers at vpnMentor.

The team said they found an open folder with 19.95GB of visible data dating back over 15 years, as well as from the past few weeks, on PussyCash’s Amazon web server that contained 875,000 files.

PussyCash is an adult web cam network that hosts affiliation programs for multiple adult sites, paying webmasters for traffic sent to the sites through banners and exit traffic.

They boast 66 million registered members on their webcam chat arena, ImLive, alone. The site’s partners include BeNaughty, Xtube, and Pornhub.

Models’ contracts containing details such as full name, address, social-security number, date of birth, phone number, height, weight, piercings, body measurements and tattoos were also exposed.

The data contains highly sensitive details and their exposure has “high-risk, real life implications for said models”, the team said in its report.

Files discovered by the team also contained scans or photographs of the models’ passport, driving license, credit card, birth certificate, fingerprints and personal signature.

The folder also contained videos, marketing materials, model release forms, birth and marriage certificates, photographs and clips and screenshots of video chats.

According to the researchers, the models are mainly from North America but also from Latin America, the Czech Republic and Hungary. As a result of this leak, the models are at risk of being blackmailed, publicly humiliated, extorted, stalked and possibly losing their jobs.

Since being alerted to the breach, the company has removed public access and claims there is no evidence anyone had accessed the files.

“Privacy and the protection of user data is a top priority and concern for us,’ it told the BBC.

“For this reason, we acted promptly and removed public access to the open folder as soon as vpnMentor alerted us to this fact.”
