The countdown is on for the Scottish Ethnic Minority Talent Summit and Festival 2024, taking place from the 29 October to 2 November.

The event promises to inspire empower and celebrate the vibrancy of Scotland’s ethnic minority over the course of the five day event.

The summit and festival will feature talks, workshops, networking opportunities, and cultural festivities designed to unlock Scotland’s potential through diversity and innovation.

Here, we’ll take you through what to expect from the week.

Starting on the 29th of October, the event will begin with the African-Scottish Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Pipeline, where it will explore how Scotland’s African and minority entrepreneurs can navigate resources and build successful businesses. The free event is in collaboration with DataKirk, Techscaler, and Bruce Walker.

On the same day, DataKirk and FanDuel are hosting an evening networking session designed to help career acceleration, tap into mentorship opportunities, and unlock professional potential.

For the 30th of October, Lara Oyedele, CEO, Black on Board Ltd, will host a session focusing on overcoming rejection and career setbacks, turning them into valuable growth opportunities.

The Scottish Ethnic Minority Talent Summit will take place on the 31st of October as the hallmark event, where leaders, prospective employees, and students will gather from across industries at Tynecastle Park in Edinburgh.

The all-day event will feature panels and discussions on the future of Scotland’s workforce, inclusive hiring practices, and strategies for fostering diverse talent across key industries.

Finally, on the 2nd of November in Glasgow, a day-long celebration of Scotland’s cultural diversity will take place. The Festival will showcase performances, food, workshops, and more.
