UK deep-tech Quantinuum has launched what it claims is the “world’s most accurate commercial quantum computer”, designed to accelerate the adoption of quantum across enterprise firms.
Featuring what the firm claims is a ‘first of its kind’ real-time control engine, the general-purpose machine, dubbed Helios, has been built to make quantum computing more approachable by allowing developers to code it much like they do classical systems.
Using a new, Python-based programming language called Guppy, Quantinuum said that developers will be able to combine hybrid compute capabilities, quantum and classical, in a single program.
Quantinuum’s benchmarking paper reports that Helios has 98 fully connected qubits and performs operations with extremely high accuracy, almost 100% for single-qubit gates and over 99.9% for two-qubit gates.
Those figures mean that Helios is among the most accurate quantum computers in the world, more so than any comparable commercial system.
“The next computing inflection point starts today,” said Dr. Rajeeb Hazra, Quantinuum president and CEO.
“For the first time, enterprises can access a highly accurate general-purpose quantum computer to drive real-world impact, transforming how industries innovate – from drug discovery to finance to advanced materials.”
To realise those bold ambitions, Quantinuum believes the Helios system could serve as a cornerstone for the development of new genAI models, leveraging quantum-generated data to accelerate breakthroughs in data analysis, materials science, and quantum chemistry.
To that end, Quantinuum is doubling down on its partnership with NVIDIA, connecting the NVIDIA GB200 to Helios via NVQLink to build targeted applications for high-value markets.

The firm is also planning to shift Helios and its future systems to NVIDIA’s accelerated computing, combining its Guppy technology with the CUDA-Q platform to deliver real-time error correction, a cornerstone of its roadmap.
In a flurry of deals, Quantinuum at the same time announced it has signed a partnership with Singapore’s National Quantum Office and Quantum Computing Hub.
The deal will bring Helios to Singapore in order to fast-track quantum breakthroughs in biology, finance, materials science, and optimisation, with a new R&D and Operations Centre set to anchor the collaboration.
