An investigation has been launched after customers of Bank of Scotland, Lloyds, and Halifax reported being able to see other users’ transactions in their banking apps.
The incident allegedly allowed some Lloyds Banking Group customers to view charges and payments belonging to other account holders.
A spokesperson for Lloyds Banking Group apologised for the issue and said it had been quickly resolved, adding that an investigation is underway. It remains unclear how many customers were affected by the glitch.
Outage tracking website Downdetector.com recorded a spike in reports of issues with the Bank of Scotland and Lloyds apps between 7-9am. The Halifax app also experienced a smaller surge in reports, according to the website.
