MBN Solutions has welcomed a six-figure funding package from UK Steel Enterprise (UKSE), a subsidiary of Tata Steel, that will help the business drive forward its ambitious growth plans and double its headcount.
Founded in 2007 by Glasgow businessperson, Michael Young, MBN Solutions offers talent and recruitment for the data and technology industries.
Specialising in placing candidates in data engineering, data science and analytics roles, MBN Solutions has supported hundreds of clients in a variety of sectors from finance to energy, helping to strengthen their workforce and operations.
The funding from UKSE will accelerate the firm’s growth strategy by enabling it to purchase enhanced technology, increase its marketing outputs and explore new partnership opportunities with key stakeholders.
Importantly, the funding will also help MBN Solutions achieve a change in strategic direction as it evolves to meet the demands of one of the fastest growing and most pivotal technology sectors.
The company will refocus its services and expanding capabilities to better serve clients in the dynamic fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
The funding will enable the doubling of its team over the next two years to facilitate the move away from traditional recruitment models to becoming a retained partner of choice.
MBN Solutions plans to increase its headcount from 20 to 40, hiring both in Glasgow and across the UK, with new hired given the flexibility to work from their Glasgow headquarters or remotely.
Its dedicated MBN Data Academy programme has also helped place more than 300 master’s programme students into summer internship programmes. In partnership with universities, the initiative ensures that students are taught skills that are industry relevant, as well as helping sector professionals understand what academia requires of students.
